Dear Time Study Administrators,
Thank You. Time study management is not easy. It is often a test of fortitude as you deal with daily frustrations while weathering backlash from the inevitable grumblers and those who fail to submit in a timely way. So let me start by assuring you that it’s not you the participants resent, it’s the process they dislike. Not that this offers much comfort when you’re facing the stress and anxiety of yet another time study week.
Nevertheless, we want you to know that your efforts are not only seen, but deeply appreciated. We also want you to think of us as your companions in the trenches. We’ve been a part of time studies for over ten years, so we understand the difficulties of persuading professionals to complete their time studies as well as the benefits to be found in the rich troves of data they generate. We know the process can sometimes be a bit hectic, but we thrive on it. And most importantly, we're here to share our insights and support with you.
Whether you’re mulling over methods to encourage participation, grappling with data interpretation, or simply feeling in the dark and afraid to ask about any given aspect of the time study process, we’re here to listen and to help find solutions. That’s why I’m inviting you (whether or not you are a client) to reach out and let us know what’s on your mind.
So, let’s open up the conversation:
1. What's the worst part of the time study process that nobody talks about?
2. What “unchangeable” aspect of time studies drives you crazy?
3. Which processes cause the most pain even though they seem simple?
I’m genuinely interested in hearing your answers because they will be the first steps in helping you build reliable, long-term solutions. And remember, you're not alone. The solidarity among time study admins is strong, and you absolutely have our respect and admiration. Let's start talking—either by leaving a comment below or by direct messaging us on LinkedIn.
In solidarity,
Matt Boll
