Once a part of Germane Solutions, a leading Graduate Medical Education consulting firm, our founders are experts focused on developing technology solutions.

 

Krystal Ball began in 2019, after being spun off from Germane Solutions. Art Boll, the Chair of our Board of Directors, was the key designer and director of the team that performed multiple enterprise-wide time studies starting in 1984.

In March 2016, Art assigned two Germane directors to start developing the time study app for Germane’s hospital clients. In June 2017, the first hospitals began using what would become the MyTimeStudy app for their time studies. In response to growing adoption, Germane incorporated Krystal Ball as a separate venture in October 2019.
